Daniel graduated from the University of Tennessee - Knoxville in 1998 and began his construction career shortly thereafter. In 1999, Daniel joined his father, David Hathaway, at Hathaway Development where he worked his way up from Assistant Project Manager to Project Manager to President and Owner of Hathaway Construction Services and Partner at Hathaway Development. During his career, Daniel has been integral in the construction of over 15,000 units throughout the United States, with a primary focus on the Southeast.

In addition to his lengthy construction and development career, Daniel serves in many civic and professional organizations. He has been on the Board of Directors for the Capital City Club in Atlanta, Georgia, and he is also an active Board Member with the Ocmulgee Chapter of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), the Atlanta Apartment Association, the U.S. Green Building Council, The Association of Building Contractors (ABC), as well as the Young Presidents Organization (YPO).

Mr. Waters’s construction experience started with McCar Homes. After being in the field building homes for 2 years, he transferred to the Purchasing Department. Within 1 year he became a Manager for both the Purchasing and Estimating Departments for all 5 markets for which McCar built throughout the Southeast. After 5 years with McCar Homes he took a position as a Project Manager with McBride and Sons Homes where he spent 2 years. His work experience of building homes and negotiating contracts has proven vital in becoming an effective manager of multiple high volume projects.

Mr. Waters joined Hathaway in July 2006 as a Project Manager. Since then, he has overseen the construction of over 2,000 mulit-family units while at Hathaway, some of which include a 240 unit apartment complex -Walden Oaks in Anderson, SC and a 56 unit apartment complex, Eastland Court Phase II, located in Rome, GA. Brandon currently has 500+ units under construction scheduled to be completed by the end of 2012, early 2013. These projects include Domain, Horizon, and 721, 35 student-housing units located in Tallahassee, FL, Magnolia Preserve, 173 multi-family units located in Dothan, AL, Ansley at Patriot Park, 192 multi-family units located in Fayetteville, NC, Highland Manor, 96 senior-living units located in Cumming, GA as well as City Lot and Metal Works, 23 student-housing units located in Tuscaloosa, AL.

Mr. Waters is a graduate of Piedmont College with a B.A. in Business Administration. His additional training includes: Certification in NPDES, OSHA certified “Competent Person”, Residential Building, Mechanical and Plumbing Inspector, and the Georgia Real Estate Pre-License Course.
